ABOUT THE EVENT
The Adventist Conference on Family Research and Practice is a collaborative initiative of Andrews University, the North American Division, and the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Church. The annual conference is designed to provide professionals and Family Ministries leaders alike with the opportunity to be exposed to best practice strategies and research in Family Therapy, Family Studies, Family Ministry, Social Work, and Psychology to enhance family ministries.
Who should attend: Family Ministries leaders from local churches, conferences, union conferences and divisions, other professionals who work with families, seminary students, graduate students, pastors and lay persons who have an interest in improving their own marriages and families are invited to participate.

Elaine Oliver PhDc, MA, LCPC, CFLE
Willie Oliver PhD, MA, MA, CFLE
Dr. Willie and Elaine Oliver are the GC directors of Family Ministries. Willie holds degrees in Theology and Sociology, while Elaine’s degrees are in Counseling, Psychology, and Education. They have conducted marriage conferences, retreats, relationship seminars, and leadership training conferences around the world. They are authors of three books, and editors of the annual Family Ministries Resource Book.
Arlyn Drew MD, MBA, PhD
Arlyn Drew is adjunct professor of Systematic and Christian Philosophy at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary with a dissertation on the Sacrifice of Isaac. A retired Family Medicine physician and CFO, she is privileged to be a mother of six children and resides with her husband, Dr. Kevin Drew in Berrien Springs, MI.
